An electrical connector and a cable connector having same. The electrical connector comprises an insulation casing; a first module comprising a first insulation member and a group of first conductive terminals; a second module comprising a second insulation member and a group of second conductive terminals; two conductive buckling components; a shielding piece comprising a plate body and two grounding portions, wherein the plate body spaces the first conductive terminals and the second conductive terminals, and the grounding portions are in contact with and electrically connected to the conductive buckling components; two conductive elastic pieces arranged at the outer side of the insulation casing; and an outer shielding casing that surrounds the outer periphery of the conductive elastic pieces, the conductive buckling components, and the insulation casing. The cable connector comprises the electrical connector, a shielding casing disposed at the rear end of the electrical connector, an insulation housing covering the outer periphery of the shielding casing, and a cable connected to the electrical connector. By means of the present invention, the signal quality can be improved during high-speed data transmission. |
