PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of purifying antibodies with decreased host cell protein (HCP), remaining procathepsin L difficult to separate from antibodies, for use as human therapeutics.SOLUTION: There is provided an adalimumab preparation with a reduced level of HCP purified using ion exchange chromatography and hydrophobic interaction chromatography to a level where a cathepsin L activity level less than 1.84 RFU/sec/mg adalimumab is observed by assaying with a cathepsin L kinetic assay in a Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) cell expression system. |
