The purpose of the present invention is to provide a portable information terminal device which can improve portable terminal operability, and a head-mount display linked to the portable information terminal device. Provided is a portable information terminal that can display images by linking to a head-mount display, and that comprises: an image display unit for displaying images; a data communication unit for performing data communication with the head-mount display; an operation input unit; and a control unit that displays images on the image display unit on the basis of control signals from the data communication unit and the operation input unit. The control unit links with the head-mount display so that a portion of the image displayed by the image display unit is displayed to be continuous with the image displayed by the head-mount display as a series of images. The control unit is provided with a function for switching selectively between a mode in which the image displayed by the portable information terminal is fixed and a mode in which the image displayed by the head-mount display is fixed, when the position of the portable information terminal is moved within the field of view of the head-mount display. |
