A position indicator is provided with a holding mechanism that makes it possible to securely fix a core body and that is capable of reliably electrically transmitting a signal from an internal circuit to the core body. The position indicator comprises: a conductive core body; a conductive elastic member that is provided with a grip section for gripping and fixing the core body and that has the core body detachably fitted thereto; a core body holder that is conductive, that has the conductive elastic member fitted thereto, and that is for holding the core body that is fitted to the conductive elastic member; a signal transmission unit; and an electrical connection member for electrically connecting the core body holder and the signal transmission unit. A signal from the signal transmission unit is transmitted by the core body via the electrical connection member, the core body holder, and the conductive elastic member. |
