Disclosed are a medium conveyance control method and device and a paper feeding type scanning device. The medium conveyance control method is used for moving a conveyed medium in a conveyance channel of a medium conveyance device, and the medium conveyance device comprises a medium conveyance mechanism (13), a main power supply (111) and a backup power supply (112). The method comprises: judging whether the main power supply (111) is abnormal or not; and if the main power supply (111) is abnormal, supplying power to the medium conveyance mechanism (13) through the backup power supply (112) and controlling the medium conveyance mechanism (13) to convey the medium while power is supplied from the backup power supply (112). Through the medium conveyance control method, the problem is solved that in the medium conveyance device, the medium remaining in the conveyance channel cannot be taken out conveniently while the power supply becomes abnormal.
