The present invention relates to a composition containing an extract or fractions of Chrysanthemum indicum L. as active components for treating, mitigating, or preventing inflammatory diseases and, more specifically, to a composition containing an extract or fractions of Chrysanthemum indicum L. for treating, mitigating, or preventing inflammatory diseases as active components, reducing concentration of cyclo oxygenase (COX-2), a tumor necrosis factor (TNF-α), a myeloperoxidase (MPO), etc., reducing expression of nitrogen monoxide and an inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS), and having an excellent anti-inflammation activity by inhibiting the activity of a nuclear factor kappa B (NF-kB). |
