The present invention relates to a controller of an air conditioning system for a vehicle, capable of optimally controlling the brightness of a display unit, an indicator, and a symbol in the daytime according to the brightness of the outside of a vehicle by an active control. To achieve the above, the controller of an air conditioning system for a vehicle, including lighting installations which respectively illuminate the display unit, the symbol, and the indicator of each switch, comprises: a radiation detecting means for detecting the amount of solar radiation outside a vehicle; and a control unit for lowering the brightness of the lighting installations to preset brightness when entering a nighttime mode if the amount of the solar radiation inputted from the radiation detecting means is under the preset reference amount of solar radiation and increasing the brightness of the lighting installations to be brighter than in the case of the nighttime mode when entering a daytime mode if the amount of the solar radiation inputted from the radiation detecting means is beyond the reference amount of solar radiation. The control unit enables the brightness of the display unit, the indicator, and the symbol to be actively controlled according to the brightness of the outside of a vehicle by differentially controlling the brightness of the lighting installations according to the amount of solar radiation inputted from the radiation detecting means while increasing the brightness of the lighting installations in the daytime mode. |
