<p>An endoscope (10) including an elongated insertion section (12) configured to be inserted into a lumen (1) of a subject's body from the distal end side thereof, a tip forming portion (19) which forms a distal end portion of the insertion section (12), and a bending section (18) which is formed on the insertion section (12) and is bent to move the tip forming portion (19) in a given direction. A slope portion (35) is formed on the given-direction side of the tip forming portion (19). The slope portion (35) is located so that the tip forming portion (19) is tapered from the rear end side toward the distal end side and abuts against an inner wall of the lumen (1).</p> |
