Provided are a method and a device for generating a work program in a tape attaching device. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method for generating a work program in a tape attaching device is a method for generating a work program in a tape attaching device capable of adsorbing a tape and attaching the tape to a substrate. The method for generating a work program in a tape attaching device includes: a step of recognizing an outer line of the tape from an image obtained by imaging the tape; a step of calculating a center point of the tape based on the outer line; and a step of overlapping the outer line at a mounting position of the substrate in which the tape is attached, based on the center point of the tape.
