Provided is a method for controlling the orientation of a satellite broadcast receiving antenna mounted in a moving vehicle. The method comprises the steps of: acquiring geostationary orbit position information of a target broadcasting satellite (BS); acquiring position information of the moving vehicle using a global positioning system (GPS) receiver; acquiring tilt information of the moving vehicle, stop direction of the moving vehicle or moving information of the moving direction of the moving vehicle; determining a orientation for the satellite broadcast receiving antenna based on the geostationary orbit position information of the target BS, the position information of the moving vehicle, the tilt information of the moving vehicle, and the orientation information of the moving vehicle, so that the satellite broadcast receiving antenna is oriented toward the target BS; and controlling the satellite broadcast receiving antenna to move in the determined orientation. |
