Optical sensor

The optical sensor (1) has a static sensor portion (1a) rotating with respect to a measuring head (2) having first light guiding elements through which a portion of transmitted light beams (7) and reflected light beams are coupled and supplied to reference path, and second light-guide elements for feeding reflected light beams to a receiver. The static sensor portion is arranged within a limited reference range of rotational positions of measuring head so that the reflected light beams from transmitter are sent to receiver for carrying out reference measurements.
