<p>The device (22) has a compartment for receiving a conventional syringe (10), where the syringe comprises a needle protected by a protective cap (20) in the syringe. The compartment changes between an open position for inserting and removing the syringe, and a closed position for performing the injection. A separation system is cooperated with the cap to separate the cap from the syringe, where the separation is reliant upon the transition of the compartment to the closed position. The transition of the compartment from the closed position to the open position is reliant upon securing the cap. An independent claim is also included for an injection protocol management and control system, comprising an injection device.</p> |
