The present invention relates to a forward osmosis-type desalination system and a desalination method. Specifically, the present invention relates to a forward osmosis-type desalination system applied with a collecting device capable of stably collecting a draw solution at high concentrations from the diluted draw solution regardless of the concentration even if a small amount of energy and chemical materials are used, and to a desalination method. The forward osmosis-type desalination system comprises: a forward osmosis reaction device (10) divided into a draw solution section (12) and a salt water section (13) by a semipermeable membrane (11); a humidification device (20) for introducing the diluted draw solution discharged from the draw solution section (12) and the dry carrier gas, and discharging the humidified carrier gas and the concentrated draw solution by making the dry carrier gas come in contact with the diluted draw solution; and a dehumidification device (30) for introducing the humidified carrier gas in the humidification device (20), and discharging the dry carrier gas and fresh water by dehumidifying the humidified carrier gas through heat exchange.
