[Class 53] An accumulator vent plug has arranged in the passage a lower inclined baffle j with holes k, m through it, a middle baffle i of dished form with a central hole, and a top baffle g of umbrella shape formed on the underside of the vent plug cap e, the gases issuing laterally around this last baffle. The top of the plug on which the cap rests is formed with venting slots d, and the cap is located in the plug by lugs f. A bevelled-edge skirt n forms a drip edge for the return of acid to the cell. When the plug is of vitreous material the cap may be integral with it. |
