The present invention relates to an eco-friendly elastic chip composition for artificial turf manufactured by using illite, which is an eco-friendly ceramic ore due to a property of emitting far-infrared rays, and surface-modified polyvinyl alcohol of which water resistance is improved by surface-modifying polyvinyl alcohol, which is an eco-friendly aqueous polymer, and natural polymeric latex. According to the present invention, the eco-friendly elastic chip composition is used as a charging material for artificial turf by using, as a charging material, illite, which is an eco-friendly ceramic ore and has a property of emitting far-infrared rays and the surface-modified polyvinyl alcohol of which water resistance is improved by surface-modifying polyvinyl alcohol, which is an eco-friendly aqueous polymer, and natural polymeric latex. Accordingly, the eco-friendly elastic chip composition is not harmful to a human body since illite emits far-infrared rays. In addition, the present invention provides the eco-friendly elastic chip composition having eco-friendly properties and excellent heat resistance even at high temperatures in the summer by using an eco-friendly aqueous polymer and eco-friendly natural polymeric latex.
