PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a beverage extractor capable of preventing a high-temperature fluid from spouting out when a lid lock mechanism is switched to an unlocked state to open a lid body, and a method for use of the beverage extractor.SOLUTION: A beverage extractor comprises: an extraction part 2 including a lid body 3 capable of opening/closing an opening through which a material to be extracted is loaded; a liquid heating/feeding part in which a liquid is heated, pressurized and supplied through a liquid feeding path 5 to the extraction part 2; and a lid lock mechanism L capable of switching between a locked state where the lid body 3 is held at a closing position for closing the opening, and an unlocked state where the locked state is canceled. The beverage extractor further comprises a liquid feeding path shut-off mechanism V capable of switching from an open state for opening the liquid feeding path 5 to a shut-off state for shutting off the liquid feeding path 5 in association with the lid lock mechanism L switched from the locked state to the unlocked state, and capable of switching from the shut-off state to the open state in association with the lid lock mechanism L switched from the unlocked state to the locked state. |
