<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide soft magnetic powder capable of producing a powder magnetic core having high permeability, to provide a powder magnetic core having high permeability produced using the soft magnetic powder, and to provide a magnetic element of high performance provided with the powder magnetic core. <P>SOLUTION: A choke coil 10 comprises: a toroidal-shaped powder magnetic core 11; and a conducting wire 12 wound around the powder magnetic core 11. The powder magnetic core 11 is obtained by mixing soft magnetic powder and a binder, and pressurizing and molding the mixture. The soft magnetic powder used for the powder magnetic core 11 comprises Fe, Si and Mn, and satisfies the respective conditions of: (a) where Fe is uses as the main component; (b) where the content of Si is 1 to 8 wt.%; and (c) where the content of Mn is >0.2 to 1 wt.%. Further, the corrosion resistance of the powder magnetic core 11 can be increased by incorporating Al and Cr into the soft magnetic powder. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
