<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lubricating oil which contains carbon nanotubes dispersed more sufficiently than before and exhibits a lubrication effect equal or superior to that of a lubricating oil containing fullerene.SOLUTION: There is provided a lubricating oil containing carbon nanotubes which is obtained by mixing a fluid having at least carbon nanotubes in a base oil. The fluid containing carbon nanotubes contains a dispersion medium capable of containing particles dispersed and a plurality of carbon nanotubes uniformly dispersed in the dispersion medium, and has a pH value of 2.5 to 8.0. The carbon nanotubes have a multilayer graphite layer and a part of an active site on the surface of the carbon nanotubes is modified with an OH group.</p> |
