<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal working method and a metal working device capable of easily providing a beautiful appearance, and of forming a boss having high connection strength with a metal plate. <P>SOLUTION: The metal working device includes: a table 11 on which the metal plate 31 is disposed; a first motor 12 that rotates a boss formation jig 15 disposed on one surface side of the table 11; a first pressing mechanism part 13 that presses the boss formation jig 15 to one surface of the metal plate 31; a second motor 22 that rotates a rotating jig 25 disposed on the other surface side of the table 11; an auxiliary metal plate holder 26 that is disposed on the other surface side of the table 11 and retains an auxiliary metal plate 32 so that one surface of the auxiliary metal plate comes in contact with the metal plate 31; and a second pressing mechanism part 23 that presses the rotating jig 25 to the other surface of the auxiliary metal plate 32.
