<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly transparent oxide crystal having high sensitivity to neutron rays, generating little background noises caused byγ-rays, and usable as a neutron scintillator. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided oxide crystals, etc. for scintillators, expressed by structural formula (1) and having a<SP POS="POST">10</SP>B content of≥1.85 atom/nm<SP POS="POST">3</SP>.
