<p>The invention relates to an attenuating section for a sound attenuator (2) in an air conditioning duct which attenuating section (3) is implemented of elastic and sound-attenuating material. According to the invention, the attenuating section (3; 31) comprises at least one attenuation element (31; 31a) which is provided with a permanent magnet arrangement (4; 41 ) by means of which the attenuating section is to be detachably fastened to a housing section (10, 30) of the sound attenuator.
