<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measurement device for measuring frequency change with improved frequency measurement resolution, without using a complicated circuit. <P>SOLUTION: A frequency measurement device comprises: a short gate time counter part 20 for continuously counting a supplied pulse stream signal, in a short gate time, and outputting a series of counted values existing in a pulse stream shape between two values, corresponding to a frequency of the pulse stream signal; and a low-pass filter 30 for removing high-frequency components from the series of counted values, and outputting a level signal corresponding to the frequency of the supplied pulse stream signal. The short gate time counter part 20 outputs the series of counted values with an n-bit (natural number) counter having a bit number smaller than a required bit number for displaying the maximum frequency of the pulse stream signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
