<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous substance useful for efficiently adsorbing siloxanes to remove them, a siloxane removing agent or (adsorbent) constituted of the porous substance, and a filter useful for removing siloxanes (or a gas sensor equipped with the filter). <P>SOLUTION: The porous substance is constituted by adding and applying a sulfonic group modified metal oxide sol to a porous material and the sulfonic group modified metal oxide sol modified by a functional group preferably represented by formula (1) HOS(=O)<SB POS="POST">2</SB>-R-Si(CH<SB POS="POST">3</SB>)<SB POS="POST">n</SB>(-O-)<SB POS="POST">3-n</SB>[wherein R is 1-10C alkylene group (wherein a urethane bond or a urea bond may be contained in this alkylene chain) and n is 0 or 1] is added and applied to the porous material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
