<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device which stops and restarts an engine while monitoring a drive state of a vehicle in accordance with deceleration required by a driver, a slip rate and a road surface friction coefficient.SOLUTION: A vehicle control device comprises: brake operation amount detection means which detects a brake operation amount of a driver; required deceleration calculation means which calculates required deceleration by the driver from output of the brake operation amount detection means; and coasting control determination means which determines continuation or cancellation of coasting operation in accordance with the required deceleration while a vehicle is coasting.</p> |
