<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an air tank capable of reducing an occurrence frequency of air leakage. <P>SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing an air tank includes a preparing step of preparing a part 12 for a tank body having an opening 1b and a part 20 for a pipe installing seat for forming a tapered female screw 2a' to a shallower position than the female screw depth on design, a welding step of welding the part 20 for the pipe installing seat to a peripheral edge of the opening 1b, and a tap step of extending the tapered female screw 2a' to the female screw depth on the design by performing tap work with the tapered female screw 2a' as a guide. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
