Locking mechanism for fan blades

The rotor has fan blades (15) connected to a rim, where each blade has a blade root (17) engaged in a groove of the rim and retained in the groove by a lock (28). The lock is engaged in notches (34) arranged on both sides of the corresponding groove, near an upstream end of the groove for immobilizing the root in axial direction. The lock has curved plates with concavity directed toward the upstream. The notches (34) are inclined toward the upstream and receive the edges of the plates. An independent claim is also included for a jet engine of an aircraft comprising a fan rotor.
