The present invention relates to a parallel operation pump system and, more specifically, relates to an apparatus and a method of reduced operation for power consumption of a parallel operation pump, wherein a discharge flow rate of each individual pump in a parallel operation state in a pump station is determined with a mathematical calculation method and a thermodynamic calculation method, and suggesting a pump combination to an operator by selecting a pump which has a minimum power source unit and maximum pump efficiency of pumps connected in parallel in a flow rate which is individually calculated, thereby operating a pump.
