Coupling means for use in testing fuel injection pumps comprises a shaft 1 driving a sleeve 6 through a flywheel 2 and a steel plate disc 5, and resiliently supporting the sleeve by a rubber ring 8 on an extension of the shaft, the sleeve 6 being slotted at its end to form two sleeve halves, each half carrying a nickel-bronze or plastics claw 11, the inner faces of the claws defining a slot into which the engaging dogs of the pump to be tested are introduced. Adjustment of the slot width may be made by screws 12, 13 received in sleeve 14, and secured by set pins 16. Different sizes of claws may be substituted. |
