PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of alcohol which can shorten the time of only saccharification by diastatic enzyme before addition of fermentation microorganism in SSF.SOLUTION: The production method of alcohol comprises: a pretreatment step of obtaining a saccharification-pretreatment material from lignocellulosic biomass; a saccharification step of obtaining saccharified solution by saccharifying the saccharification-pretreatment material by the diastatic enzyme; and a fermentation step of obtaining fermented solution containing alcohol by fermenting the saccharified solution by the fermentation microorganism in the same tank. The pretreatment step comprises: a first pretreatment step of obtaining a first saccharification-pretreatment material with porosity by treating the lignocellulosic biomass with acid; and a second pretreatment step of obtaining a second saccharification-pretreatment material with porosity having larger pores than the first saccharification-pretreatment material by milling the first saccharification-pretreatment material. |
