PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control apparatus capable of automatically generating appropriate braking-force in a wheel in accordance with presence of airbag expansion when a vehicle collides.SOLUTION: A vehicle control apparatus 10 includes: an airbag control part 44 for controlling expansion or non-expansion of an airbag 20 when a vehicle collides; and an automatic brake control part 52 for automatically performing automatic brake control to generate braking-force in a wheel 14 independently of a brake operation when the vehicle collides. The automatic brake control part 52 increases the braking-force in the wheel 14 when the airbag is expanded more than when the airbag is not expanded.
