Bumper assemblies including spacer members and vehicles incorporating the same

Embodiments of vehicles including bumper assemblies having spacer members are discussed and disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a vehicle includes a side support that extends in a vehicle longitudinal direction, a sub-frame coupled to a body of the vehicle, where the sub-frame is positioned beneath the side support in a vehicle vertical direction, a bumper assembly including a rear face that is coupled to the side support, the bumper assembly including a reinforcement beam that extends in a vehicle lateral direction that is transverse to the vehicle longitudinal direction, and a spacer member coupled the rear face of bumper assembly, where the spacer member is positioned outboard of the side support in the vehicle lateral direction and where the spacer member extends from the side support toward the sub-frame in the vehicle vertical direction.

1. A vehicle comprising:
a side support that extends in a vehicle longitudinal direction; a sub-frame coupled to a body of the vehicle, wherein the sub-frame is positioned beneath the side support in a vehicle vertical direction; a bumper assembly comprising a rear face that is coupled to the side support, the bumper assembly including a reinforcement beam that extends in a vehicle lateral direction that is transverse to the vehicle longitudinal direction; and a spacer member coupled the rear face of bumper assembly, wherein the spacer member is positioned outboard of the side support in the vehicle lateral direction and wherein the spacer member extends from the side support toward the sub-frame in the vehicle vertical direction.
