PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a removal method of a deposit on an insoluble electrode which can dissolve and remove cobalt oxyhydroxide which deposited on the insoluble electrode.SOLUTION: After providing a surface of an insoluble electrode with a roughening treatment, a deposit which adhered to the insoluble electrode comprising cobalt oxyhydroxide is dissolved and removed by using a mixed aqueous solution of a mineral acid and an organic acid. Because a surface area of the deposit increases by the roughening treatment, a contact area thereof with mixed aqueous solution increases and the hard-to-dissolve cobalt oxyhydroxide can be dissolved and removed. Because a mixed aqueous solution of a mineral acid and an organic acid is used, an active coating layer of the insoluble electrode can be prevented from being damaged. |
