PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a package which stores a product in a compressed state regardless of the dimensional shape of the product and the quality of a material, for example, elasticity.SOLUTION: A packaging machine comprises: a press device 16 for compressing a product 4 sandwiched between an upper film 10 and a lower film 11 at a fixed position; and a side seal device 25 for holding and sealing side edges 10a and 11a of the films exposed to the outside in a state of being compressed by the press device. The side seal device includes a nip roller 28, a bar sealer 26, and a press roller 29 in this order on a moving table 30 in a moving direction. The moving table moves along guide rails 31. Thus, the bar sealer 26 and the like perform sealing while moving along the side edges of the films. |
