PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foreign material removal device capable of removing a foreign material, produced by slit processing, from an electrode material while suppressing the peeling of an active material.SOLUTION: A foreign material removal device 60 removes a foreign material from a long electrode material 80, obtained by applying an active material 12 to the surface of a metal foil 11 and transported in the longitudinal direction while being cut by means of a slit blade 51 so as to have a predetermined length in the widthwise direction. The foreign material removal device 60 is disposed so that the center of rotation axis 61a is perpendicular to the surface of the metal foil 11, and includes an adhesive roll 61 which is in contact with a cut surface 80a of the electrode material 80 formed by cutting with the slit blade 51. |
