PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select a combination from a plurality of translation services and a plurality of OCR services on a network.SOLUTION: There is provided a mediation device capable of communicating with a client device which transmits a translation request including data to be translated, first language data, and second language data, a plurality of OCR server devices which recognize characters of the data to be translated, and a plurality of translation server devices which translate the characters of the data to be translated, the mediation device including a reception part which receives the translation request, a first retrieval part which specifies an OCR server device capable of recognizing the characters of the data to be translated, a second retrieval part which specifies a translation server device capable of translating the characters of the data to be translated, a recognition request part which requests the OCR server device to recognize the characters of the data to be translated, a translation request part which requests the translation server device to translates the characters of the data to be translated, and a response part which transmits translation result data to the client device. |
