PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly sensitively detect occurrence of misalignment without requiring a dedicated sensor which is specialized in misalignment detection.SOLUTION: A misalignment detection apparatus for detecting occurrence of misalignment in a coupling that couples a pump 2 and a motor in a power plant includes: an information accumulation section 50 for accumulating inflow fluid pressure measurement data and outflow fluid pressure measurement data of pressure meters 10, 20 as accumulated data; a model construction section 60 for constructing a model by extracting a correlation relationship between the inflow fluid pressure measurement data and the outflow fluid pressure measurement data from the accumulated data in normal time; and a misalignment detection section 70 for detecting collapse of the correlation relationship as occurrence of misalignment, from the extracted correlation relationship, the inflow fluid pressure measurement data and the outflow fluid pressure measurement data.
