1. A running condition detection device comprising:
a GPS receiving unit which receives a global positioning system (GPS) signal and outputs positional data indicating a current position; a geomagnetic sensor which detects geomagnetic data indicating geomagnetism; and a processor which is configured to:
perform control to memorize, in a memory, course data of a course on which a user moves, the course data including corner data indicating a position of a corner of the course;obtain moving directions based on plural pieces of positional data from the GPS receiving unit, wherein the plural pieces of positional data are obtained at respective different times;perform a first determination to determine whether the user passes through a corner of a piece of the course data based on a change of the obtained moving directions;perform a second determination to determine whether the user passes through the corner of the piece of the course data based on a change of geomagnetism detected by the geomagnetic sensor;prohibit the first determination and the second determination from being performed during a given period of time in a case in which it is determined that the user passes through the corner of the piece of the course data based on at least one of the first determination and the second determination; andcorrect the current position output from the GPS receiving unit based on the position of the corner of the piece of the course data in a case in which it is determined by one of the first determination and the second determination that the user passes through the corner of the piece of the course data.
