PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide tool replacement means that can shorten a tool replacement time without providing special tool rearrangement means, or the like.SOLUTION: Tool replacement means for a machine tool comprises: a revolution type tool magazine in which a tool is attachable to or detachable from the main shaft of a machine tool; a grip part circumferentially provided on the tool magazine; and indexing means for revolving and driving the tool magazine, with the tool attached to the main shaft. The tool replacement means controls the indexing means at the time of tool replacement, stores the tool, attached to the main shaft, in a tool grip part indexed in the tool replacement position of the tool magazine, and indexes a tool grip part in which a tool to be used next is stored to a tool replacement position to attach the grip part the main shaft. The tool replacement means is provided with command means that issues an alteration command for a tool storage position, to the control means. When the alteration command for the tool storage position is received from the command means, the control means revolves the tool magazine, with the tool attached to the main shaft, and the predetermined tool grip part is indexed to the tool replacement position. |
