PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal sensor that enables overheat sensing in an aircraft comprising polymer composite components to react faster at a lower temperature.SOLUTION: A thermal sensor 100 for an aircraft includes a first electrode 101, a second electrode 103, a support layer 105 disposed between the first electrode 101 and the second electrode 103, and a state changing material disposed within the support layer. The state changing material transitions at a threshold temperature between a non-conductive state and a conductive state to electrically connect the first electrode 101 and the second electrode 103. |
