PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric dust collector penetration insulator having a sufficiently long life.SOLUTION: An electric dust collector penetration insulator 100 comprises: an insulator body 10 made of a nonmagnetic material; a conductor extending through the insulator body 10; and a metal flange 14 fixed at the midship part of the insulator body 10, wherein a central region 11 of the insulator body 10 including a stationary portion 15 of the metal flange 14 and regions 15a and 15b neighboring the stationary portion 15 is covered with an electrically conductive film 12.
