PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of improving long-term reliability by improving waterproof performance and dust resistance.SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes: an imaging section that takes images; and an attachment for allowing the imaging section to be detachably attached thereon. The attachment stores a first non-contact transmission section that transmits/receives at least one of the power and the signal in a non-contact manner. The imaging section stores: a shank which is rotatably supported by a bearing fixed to the imaging section; a second non-contact transmission section fixed to one end at the attachment side of the shank being faced to the first non-contact transmission section which transmits/receives at least one of the power and the signal; and an imaging mechanism which is fixed to the other end at the side opposite to the attachment of the shank and connected to the second non-contact transmission section via a transmission line inserted through the shank.
