PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pointer-type measuring instrument capable of switching display to a plurality of types of measuring instrument designs, and simplifying the lighting structure of the measuring instrument design.SOLUTION: A vehicle measuring instrument (pointer type measuring instrument) is mounted on a hybrid electric vehicle, and a first surface layer 71 constituting a first design 321 for displaying power that is motor power and a second surface layer 72 constituting a second design 322 for displaying an engine revolving speed are formed on a surface 311 of the nameplate 31. A light blocking layer 73 is formed in a surface part other than the first surface layer 71 and the second surface layer 72. Blue LEDs 62 for lighting the first design 321 and red LEDs 61 for lighting the second design 322 are disposed on a rear surface side of the nameplate 31. The first design 321 (first surface layer 71) is formed of a material transmitting blue light and blocking red light. The second design 322 (second surface layer 72) is formed of a material transmitting the red light and blocking the blue light. The LEDs 61 and LEDs 62 are disposed in the same space. |
