PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a pedometer using an acceleration sensor or a pedometer detecting grounding of a sole, even though it can measure the number of steps relatively well if a user is healthy, cannot accurately measure the number of steps if there is irregularity in the gait of a user.SOLUTION: A pedometer comprises: a right angle sensor for outputting right hip joint angle signal indicating a right hip joint angle of a user; a left angle sensor for outputting a left hip joint angle signal indicating a left hip joint angle of the user; a generation unit for generating an angular difference signal indicating a time series change in angular difference between the right hip joint angle and the left hip joint angle from the right hip joint angle signal and the left hip joint angle signal; and a calculation unit for calculating the number of steps of the user on the basis of a differential signal generated from difference between filtered signals obtained by applying at least two mutually different filters to the angular difference signal. |
