PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device which even when a collision occurs, for instance during collision avoidance control, can inhibit a braking distance after the collision from becoming long and can properly control brake force of a brake to inhibit the occurrence of secondary damage such as a second collision.SOLUTION: A vehicle control device 10 comprises: a collision avoidance support control part 62 for increasing brake force toward a first deceleration Ga which is set to avoid a collision; an automatic brake control part 64 for increasing brake force toward a second deceleration Gb which is set to reduce collision damage upon a collision; and a brake force control unit 22. The brake force control unit 22, after operation of the collision avoidance support control part 62, when the automatic brake control part 64 is operated and the first deceleration Ga is equal to the second deceleration Gb, increases brake force toward a value higher than the second deceleration Gb. |
