PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a liquid-cooled jacket, suitably joinable, by restraining deformation of a sealing body caused by frictional agitation.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method includes: a preparation process of preparing a jacket body 2 having a bottom part 10 and a peripheral wall part 11 and having a step difference bottom surface formed in a position lowered by one stage from an end surface 11a of the peripheral wall part 11 and a step difference side surface; a butting process of forming a butting part J1 where the step difference side surface and an outer peripheral surface 3a of the sealing body 3 abut by placing the sealing body 3 of a thickness dimension larger than a height of the step difference side surface on the step difference bottom surface; and a joining process of executing frictional agitation in a state of contacting only an agitation pin F2 with the jacket body 2 and the sealing body 3 by inserting the agitation pin F2 into the inner corner formed of the end surface 11a and the outer peripheral surface 3a. In the joining process, a joining rotary tool F is made by one round around the sealing body 3 along the inner corner. |
