摘要 An organic light emitting diode display device comprises: a substrate which is defined as a display area and a non-display area; a thin film transistor which is disposed on the display area, and includes a semiconductor layer, a gate electrode, a source electrode, and a drain electrode; an organic light emitting element which includes a first electrode, an organic light emitting layer, and a second electrode which are disposed on the thin film transistor; a pad electrode which is disposed on the non-display area, and is formed of a metal or metal alloy layer; and a protective electrode layer which is disposed on the pad electrode, and is formed of an amorphous or crystalline transparent conductive material. The protective electrode layer is formed to come in contact with an area where the pad electrode is exposed to the outside. According to the organic electroluminescent display device and the manufacturing method thereof, the protective electrode layer is formed on the pad electrode exposed to the outside, thereby preventing oxygen and moisture from infiltrating the pad electrode, and preventing migration of the pad electrode from occurring. In addition, it is possible to simplify a process necessary to form the protective electrode layer, and to reduce manufacturing costs.
