PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device that achieves further power saving by allowing intervals for an opening/closing sensor to execute opening/closing detection to be varied.SOLUTION: A CPU_A sets an execution interval for a CPU_B, which detects whether an opening/closing portion is open or not, to execute the detection to either one of at least two execution intervals. The CPU_A controls a switch SW4 according to the execution intervals and supplies power from power source 300 to a condition detecting portion. This allows intervals for an opening/closing sensor to execute the opening/closing detection to be varied, so that further power saving can be achieved. |
