PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical guide wire with improved rotation transmission performance to a tip side and improved perforation performance at a legioned part as a result of a smaller diameter of a core wire within a core body.SOLUTION: A core wire tip 2B within a coil body 3 has a connected truncated cone which is composed of at least two truncated cones connected in a longer direction. Because the cross-sectional secondary moment from a rear end side to a tip side satisfies a certain relational expression, when a core wire 2 at a hand side is rotated, a rotation angle at the hand side is reduced and a torsional moment acting on the tip side is increased, so that the perforation performance at an obstructing lesion region can be improved. |
