The present invention relates to a cooling device placed in a vessel engine room to cool an engine and more specifically, to a cooling device including two sea water pumps, and a control method thereof. The cooling device of the present invention includes: a heat exchanger exchanging heat between sea water and a cooling fluid cooling an engine room; two sea water pumps supplying the sea water to the heat exchanger; a fooling fluid supply pipe supplying the cooling fluid to the heat exchanger; a cooling fluid discharge pipe discharging the cooling fluid, passing through the heat exchanger; a three-way valve including two inlets and an outlet, and having one inlet connected to the cooling fluid discharge pipe and the other inlet connected to a branch pipe of the cooling fluid supply pipe; and a control part controlling the speed and operation of the two sea water pumps. |
