PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method for a fuel battery system that can keep a water-contained state in a fuel battery to a state preferable for power generation at the start-up time of the fuel battery irrespective of the state of outdoor air when scavenging is performed upon start-up of RTC (Real Time Clock).SOLUTION: Dry power generation processing is executed upon occurrence of a system stop instruction signal. The dry power generation processing contains the processing S13 for estimating a scavenging effect of next RTC scavenging by the time when dry power generation S20 is completed, and processing S15, S16 for setting a stop-time target impedance resistance value corresponding to a target water-contained state of MEA at the completion time point of the dry power generation by the time when the dry power generation S20 is completed. The stop-time target impedance resistance value is set to a larger value (dry side) when the scavenging effect is small than when the scavenging effect is large. The dry power generation is executed so that the thus-set stop-time target impedance resistance value is implemented at the completion time point of the dry power generation. |
